Lauren and Daniel met in early March 2024 in Savannah, Georgia. Daniel had asked Lauren to be his date for his upcoming Ranger Ball. At the time, Lauren had hardly known Daniel and had asked him to meet her to get to know him better before she agreed to be his date. Daniel made time out of his busy week to meet Lauren at Top Deck (still a local favorite of ours) in Savannah, GA for dinner and drinks; they immediately hit it off and sat on the rooftop of Top Deck for hours that night.

Safe to say, Lauren agreed to be his date for ball later that week.

The ball was a fantastic time and further ignited the spark between the two. After the ball, they were inseparable and spent every possible moment together. After about 5 memorable months together, Daniel left for a 4-month long deployment overseas.

Absence truly made the heart grow fonder for these two. They continued to grow their relationship over countless facetime calls, despite the time difference. Daniel returned safely and they both agreed to eliminate as much distance from each other as possible.

In February 2025, Daniel and Lauren bought a townhome with a marsh view. They continue to enjoy countless meals and walks together while admiring the beautiful view.

There was no question that these two were each other's best friends (ying and yang, as Mrs. Kane calls it). Daniel proposed to Lauren in June of 2025, and without hesitation, she said yes!
